During past few years the way we watch TV has been constantly changing. Satellite and cable companies are losing subscribers on a daily basis. The main reason for that is that our schedules are way tighter than they were a few years ago. That’s why we don’t have time to watch we want when it’s on the TV. Even though cable and satellite companies are introducing “record and watch later” services, internet is stealing their clients with services like Hulu.com.

It’s not particularly problematic to pipe TV shows from the internet to your big screen TV. There are several ways to accomplish that. You can hook your PC directly to your TV via HDMI or RGB cable. You can also access Hulu.com from Xbox plugged to your TV or use Netflix enabled device. Dedicated STBs like Boxee Box are also becoming very popular.

It’s hard to predict what’s going to be happening in the future. But one thing is sure – cable companies are going to have a really hard time competing with internet. They’ll have to change their game plan and adapt accordingly. It remains to be seen what’s really going to happen.
